K/RLT's members are the backbone of our organization. A member is anyone who has contributed financially to our land trust organization in the past year.

Land Legacy Society
Donors wishing to have a meaningful way to protect, preserve and restore the unique places of Kenosha and Racine Counties and help sustain the efforts of Kenosha/Racine Land Trust can give $1,000 or more annually and then are welcomed into our Legacy Society and enjoy the following benefits:
- Recognition in our newsletter and other publications
- Exclusive invitations to all of our events
- Opportunities for one-on-one meetings with staff and board members
Planned Giving
Help K/RLT preserve our land for future generations by making a planned gift or bequest. The information that follows suggests ways to provide a lasting legacy to K/RLT. By making a planned gift or bequest you can:
- Reduce taxes on your estate through a bequest, your retirement plan or Insurance Policy (an IRA Rollover is also an option)
- Avoid capital gains tax with an Outright Gift of Appreciated Stock
- Receive income for life through a Charitable Remainder Trust
- Pass assets to your children and grandchildren and cut transfer taxes through a Charitable Lead Trust

Corporate Donations
Corporate support is vital to the success of K/RLT. Our corporate donors help provide the operating funds that keep our organization going and the land negotiations in motion. Like any good business leader, you want to see tangible results from all of your company's investments, including your charitable investments. K/RLT can report measurable outcomes. With a remarkably lean operating budget, we have protected more than 1,000 acres since 2002! It is easy to measure the benefits of each and every one of these acres for our water resources, our wildlife, and our outdoor recreation. And we leverage our private sectorsupport to secure competitive state and federal government grants for land acquisition.
